Product Push: Hair Skin and Nails Vitamins

I have talked about Futurebiotics Hair Skin and Nails Vitamins before, but my favorite Hair Skin and Nails Vitamin is the GNC Hair Skin and Nails Vitamin.

I like this vitamin the best because it has just the right balance of vitamins. It has 3000 mcg of Biotin which is a significant dose, but it also has Vitamin's A, B and E which are also just as important for healthy hair growth. I have never had any skin issues from using this product, unlike when I just use Biotin by itself. Not only that, but my skin seems to really benefit from the continued use of this product as well. My skin seems to have more of a glow to it than with the Futurebiotics vitamins.

The one down side to this vitamin is the price, a whopping $18.99. I recently bought it during a buy one get one free sale, so I have 4 months worth. I try to catch those sales as much as possible because it really makes the product worth the money. On the other hand the GNC bottles contain 60 days worth of capsules, so in the end I pay the same for the Futurebiotics as I do for the GNC if not less.

*Do not confuse this with their Hair Skin and Nails program, I have never tried that one!

  1. Thanks for the review. I'm currently on the hunt for some hair vitamins, do you take an MSM supplement as well?

No prob. No I do not take MSM. After reading about some of the side effects that some LHCFers have experienced using it, I just do not think I need to try it. Plus, I really do not need it. I just take a multi and these GNC vitamins. HTH!

  3. the program includes the HSN vits plus collegen and primrose oil. It has a greater impact on the skin (clearness and suppleness) than the vits alone. I buy it all time. GNC usually has them buy 1 get 1 at the beginning of the month. If you join GNC you get an additional 10% off of that. So you end up with 60 days at about $18. It might be worth it if you have skin issues.

  5. Well the good thing about hair vitamins is that you can take them for 3 months, go off of them for 3 months and start taking them for 3 months. Apparently that's how they are supposed to be taken and they ive better results that way. I only found that out recently myself. So you can save some money there.

They are just as good as the GNC vitamins, so no worries. They will contribute to your hairs healthy growth.

  10. Highly recommend GNC hair vitamins! I had a horrible dying experience and I was forced to cut off a huge junk of it (from past my shoulders to m below my chin). I took GNC (and massaging my scalp every morning and night) plus deep conditioning once a week (recommend Paul Mitchell Hair Repair Treatment) and within months I had beautiful, long hair again. I also took pre-natal vitamins for two or so months to maximize fast growth.

how is the gnc doing for your skin?

  12. GNC was absolutely fine for my skin, no side effects. The futurebiotics was fine, I like the GNC better because they are easier for me to swallow and the GNC bottle comes with more pills.

  16. I have also used the GNC brand of HSN and liked it. I recently purchased the Nature's Bounty brand HSN and got it for a good price @ Sam's Club ($12.00 for 250 caplets). Im looking forward to seeing it they work as well.
